This was a relatively new property but has been renovated by the new owners Wendy and Derek over the past two years. The qualities are outstanding and as Wendy is an interior designer the finishing was all important. There was an existing outdoor kitchen in place but it was just fundamental, constructed from solid block work and rendered in a grey render with a matching grey worktop.

Wendy also pointed out there was no storage and the worktop was damaged so it just had to go. Initially, I discussed removing the structure and replacing it with our steel-framed kitchen. Still, on further review and for the sake of recycling we decided to convert the existing structure into the desired layout.

This proved very difficult as the structure was built from heavy concrete blocks and were a bit of a nightmare to cut into. After many days we managed to get the openings in we required and form a new framework to the outside of the existing kitchen to accept the new deeper appliances.
The requirements were a large gas BBQ, a twin side burner, a double fridge, bin and drawer storage and other storage where possible. We achieved this with our design and with the help of Chic Marble we installed a new worktop to match the existing garden table. The end result is stunning and I know the clients are thrilled with the new kitchen and can’t wait to enjoy it next spring.
